You can´t have it all.

It is the sentence that stayed with me for a long time after I finished reading my last book at the beginning of this week, so I wanted to share my thoughts about it with you. I´m sure it will widen your horizons.

After reading it, my first reaction was — of course, I can have it all. What nonsense. I´m a coach, so I should be telling people, that everything is possible, that you can have everything you want. I was even telling myself that I can have it all. But then I read more, and I understood it.

It is true! We can´t have it all, but that´s okay. Do you know why we can´t have it all? Because every time we say YES to something, we say NO to something else.

If you say YES to career growth and more responsibilities, you might be saying NO to more free time for yourself at home.

If you say YES to fast food, you might be saying NO to a vibrant and healthy body.

If you say YES to more activities, you might be saying NO to enjoying free time without plans.

If you say YES to a bigger house, you also say YES to spending more time on cleaning and NO to other activities.

If you say YES to living abroad, you might say NO to experiencing your parents growing old, and your nieces growing wild.

If you say YES to living your truth, you might be saying NO to being accepted by everyone around you.

If you say YES to a lie, you say NO to peace of mind.

And so on the list goes… So you see, for everything we get, we also miss out on something.

We can´t have it all, but we can have enough and be happy with it.

We can have a comfortable enough house.

We can have a good enough job.

We can have enough money.

We can have good enough relationships.

We can be enough. So do we even need it all?

Appreciating what we have right now, at this moment will make us have it all. Because sometimes LESS is MORE.

LESS (fewer) things are LESS time to clean wardrobe and MORE time to have fun.

LESS (fewer) rooms in a house are LESS cleaning and MORE free time.

LESS (fewer) worries are MORE happiness.

LESS (fewer) friends are MORE time for authentic and true connections.

LESS hurry is MORE time for reflection.

LESS stress is MORE joy.

If someone would look at my life right now, probably wouldn´t think I have enough, but I do… I feel so much gratitude, so much joy, and fulfillment in my life. I have more than I ever imagined I could.

And it does not mean I am done saying YES to life. It does not mean I am not pursuing more. It just means I have enough, I am happy enough and I am open to receiving more and creating more. Enough does not have to be the end.

Appreciate ENOUGH and you will have it ALL.

Do you feel like you have enough? What is enough for you? When do you know you have enough?

P.S. I appreciate every single minute you spend reading my work. It means it ALL for me.
