Why a pair of socks is the best present I ever got
Do you recall that time when the universe just worked in your favor? You do not know how or why, but things happened without you having to tell it. It was enough to think it. Those magic moments where you start feeling the power of something bigger than yourself when you start understanding that there is something out there helping us out if we just let go and trust.
Usually, I am that type of person, who needs a logical explanation, who is always in her head, and everything is strategic and planned and done. I am that person, who believes that you have to do to get something in your life. So believing in the power of thought was new to me and entered my life a few years ago. Now I am hooked on it! When I combined the power of action with the power of believing and thought — magic is happening all around me. Like the story with the pair of socks!
Do you want to hear how I manifested the perfect pair of socks? Do not worry, this is not some kind of sit on the sofa, close your eyes, make some strange noises, and magically socks enter your living room with no feet in it mumbo jumbo. No, this is about taking action, designing your life with body, mind, heart, and soul, so things you want will show up unexpectedly.
So here they are, my perfectly made giraffe socks, that reached me in Denmark from the USA while I was vacationing in Italy.
The short story of giraffe socks.
I am in love with… my boyfriend. He calls me Giraffe. Surprise surprise. Do you know why? Because according to him my legs are all over the bed when we sleep. And you know what? I tend to agree with him… Ups… So we have this talk going on in our every day about a giraffe, what a perfect creature.
Then he goes on vacation to Las Vegas and I fly to Sicily. While exploring the streets of Sicily I find super cute yellow socks with bicycles (I am also a cycling fan who will cycle from Denmark to Paris but about that in another post) and I want to check on the internet where I can buy more and then I come across socks with a giraffe! My heart skips the beat. The socks are just heaven!
Later in the evening, I give a call to my boyfriend to chat about the day and mentioned to him about the socks, that I saw giraffe socks and they were so cute! And guess what… earlier the same day he bought me 2 pairs of giraffe socks… Without me mentioning or asking for it! I only thought how cool it would be to have socks like that and imagined myself walking with giraffe socks. Call it coincidence if you want, but I believe that universe has something to do with it.
I also believe that I contributed to it as well. I did a lot of work on myself and my romantic relationship, so that the person I am with knows me, really knows me and what makes me happy.
So why do those socks mean so much?
Because it showed me how much my boyfriend thinks about me and tries to make me happy. It showed me that socks are not just socks. They represent care, attention, love, listening…
The simple act of kindness revealed to me, that happiness is in unexpected small gestures of love. And it also reminded me of the movie Me Before You. Remember that scene?
So what´s the lesson?
Do the inner work, create a relationship where you get “giraffe socks”. You are worth it.
Put in your subconscious mind the picture of your wish and let it come to you. It usually does.
Believe in the bigger plan that the universe has for us.
Enjoy small gestures from big hearts and do small gestures from your big heart. It might make someone’s day and in return, it will rock your world too!
