When you squeeze an orange, what comes out?

Okay, let´s talk, from our hearts.

What feelings the situation in the world evokes in you right now? You know, blue and yellow…

Do you feel angry?
Sad?
Hopeless?
Judgemental?
Inspired?
Brave?

Any other feelings?

I certainly do feel angry and sad… How else?
And then I remembered the story I love about the oranges by Dr. Wayne Dyer. It goes like this.

When you squeeze an orange as hard as you can, what will come out?
Orange juice! Always! No matter how easy or hard you squeeze, if you use both hands or a machine, it will always come out as orange juice. Why? Because this is what is inside…

And now in this situation why do some people feel angry, why do some people feel sad, why do some people feel scared and others feel brave? Because this is what is inside.

And this situation helps us to reflect on ourselves, what is inside of each of us? When this situation squeezes us, do we feel compassion or anger? Do we feel hope or are we quick to judge everyone around us?

Because it is all about what is inside us…

As for me, my dominating emotions were anger and sadness. I felt and still feel anger towards the injustice of this war and my heart is bleeding for those innocent people and the horror they have to go through.

Then the questions I raise are: how can I use my anger in a positive way? Can it help me to create more helpful content? Can it help me to go and exercise more to let it out? There are no bad emotions. It all depends on what we do with them.

So what emotions do you feel the most now? What can they teach you? What can they tell you about you? How can you use them to make a positive impact?

May peace will be with all of us.
