How do I find ideas on what to write on Medium

Writing in nature. Me, 2020. Denmark

I do not have a strategy when I write on Medium. Well, maybe I do, but it is different from what most people have. I write only what I feel like writing. I write because it makes me happy. I write because I feel I want to share. And if someone will read it — fine, if not — also fine.

I also want to become better at writing, and the best way is just to write. Also reading a lot of books helps. Just a tip :)

I generate the ideas in one of those ways:

  1. Browse through Medium and see what others write and if I have any personal stories or opinions on those topics.
  2. Browse through my albums and remember events from my past and maybe some are worth writing about.
  3. Look at what I do throughout my days.
  4. Listen to people. Listen carefully. I do not always get into the discussion as many times it is useless. Then I share my opinion on the topic on Medium instead.
  5. Listen to my heart, what does it want to tell about…

Have a good time writing.

I write about events, that happen in my life and about thoughts that are born in my head in a hope that it will brighten your day.
