Everyone has a story to tell

Everyone has a story to tell. And what story you pick to tell determines your reality. It also determines how other people see you and how you see yourself. How you see yourself will impact how you show up for yourself and others and what people you will attract into your life.

Trust me, the story you tell yourself matters.

As an example, I would like to share one of the stories I was telling myself which did not really get me anywhere.

Some years ago I was in a very unhealthy relationship, but my story sounded like that:

1. It is not so bad after all. Every couple goes through difficult times.
2. We also have good days so it is okay.
3. I cannot just leave after so many years. We will be fine.

So the story I told myself kept me in an unhealthy relationship because I believed that story.

Once I rewrote my story my real life rewrote itself. ( rewriting the story starts by believing in new things, uncovering where your limiting beliefs came from, and much more, but I will share about it in another post).

My new story took a few years to define and embody.

My new story sounded like this:

1. I am worth so much more as I’m an amazing human being.
2. I deserve a person who will respect me and value me as I am.
3. There is so much abundance in life for me. I just need to open up for it to come into my life.

Once I rewrote the story I was telling myself in my head my life started shifting for the better.
